EU-Initiatives

EU-Initiatives are projects funded by the European Commission, in which FFG is partner or coordinator.
The main goal of these EU-Initiatives is the encouragement and support of specific target groups in their participation in the EU Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development.
Within the framework of such EU-initiatives FFG offers specific support actions for project submitters/proposers, such as partner-search databases, trainings or partnering events.

In the field of Social Sciences and Humanities FFG is partner in the following project:

NET4SOCIETY

NET4SOCIETY is the networking project of National Contact Points for Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities (SSH) - National Contact Points (NCPs) being national information hubs helping the research community in all matters FP7.

What does NET4SOCIETY do for NCPs?

NET4SOCIETY offers specific high quality training sessions (based on a questionnaire analysis), dedicated workshops, and mentoring to the NCPs. A best practice handbook and a database for the specific area of “Socioeconomics and the Humanities”, including a refined partner-search tool are in the making. NET4SOCIETY is open to all SSH-NCPs.

What can we do for the research community?

To the research community, NET4SOCIETY will offer improved partner search facilities and brokerage events. An analysis of topics in all of the FP7 work programmes will help identify funding opportunities over and beyond Theme 8 "Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities".
