Environment (incl. Climate Change)

The main objective of research for the environment under FP7 is to promote sustainable management of both man-made and natural environment and its resources. To this end, increased knowledge on the interaction between the climate, biosphere, ecosystems and human activities is sought and, new environmentally-friendly technologies, tools and services are developed.
What will be funded?

As environmental problems extend beyond national frontiers and natural resources are under pressure, Europe needs a new sustainable relationship with the environment.

Researchers and research organisations in the field of Environment located outside Austria can get support by FFG in finding Austrian project partners. EU-Initiatives, databases and competence catalogues list profiles of Austrian researchers, research institutions and research-intensive SMEs.

In the field of Environment the following EU-Initiatives/competence catalogues are available for finding suitable Austrian research partners:

  • The EU-Initiative SAFE offers a database for researchers and SMEs in the field of Environment, searching for research project partners for research collaboration within FP7.
  • The Competence Catalogue ECO RESEARCH AUSTRIA is the online showcase of environmental research in Austria. This online platform is designed to help you find partners according to research field and needed competence.

All services offered to Austrian researchers and research organisations can be found in more detail in the German language version of this website!
