Content: Information day for the 5th call for in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the 7th EU Framework Programme. The call is expected to start at the end of July with a budget of 722 million Euros. The Information day had an “enlarged Europe” focus, enabling networking with representatives from four EU 12 countries, allowing proposers to use the potential of an enlarged Europe.

Programme topics:

Call 5 overview and updated work programme 2009-2010
Changes to the work programme:
Reacting to the European Economic Recovery Plan, the European Commission (EC) introduced 3 new topics for the Work Programme 2009-2010:
              - Smart Factories: ICT for agile and environmentally
                friendly manufacturing
              - ICT for energy-efficient buildings and spaces of
                 public use
              - ICT for the Fully Electric Vehicle
Thematic talks introducing the open challenges in Call 5, such as „Future Internet“, „Micro- Nanoelectronics“, „Photonics“, „Technology-Enhanced Learning“ and „Future and Emerging Technologies“.
„Enlarged Europe“ focus:
A major programme topic is the active participation of the National Contact Points (NCPs) from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia. They will be presenting keyplayers and project ideas from their respective country.

Furthermore several potential proposers seized the chance to present their project ideas/skills in the „Speaker’s Corner“. As a follow-up, you can find all the presentations at the end of this website.

The event resulted in a networking-buffet, offering the possibility to exchange ideas with the NCPs from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia or with other proposers present.

ICT Call 5 and the potential of an enlarged Europe

Unter regem Interesse von 120 TeilnehmerInnen aus dem In- und Ausland fand diese englischsprachige Informationsveranstaltung zur 5. Ausschreibung im Bereich Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien (FP7) statt.
Ab sofort stehen alle Präsentationen zur Veranstaltung am Ende dieser Seite zur Verfügung.

* Schwerpunktvorträge zu Themen wie z.B. "Future Internet", "Micro- Nanoelectronics", "Photonics" und "Technology-enhanced learning"

Den Abschluss der Veranstaltung bildete ein "EU-Networking-Buffet" mit der Gelegenheit zum direkten Gespräch mit den Nationalen Kontaktstellen sowie zum persönlichen Erfahrungsaustausch.

Zur Erinnerung: Der Call wird mit einem Gesamtbudget von 722 Millionen Euro bereits am 31. Juli 2009 geöffnet.
