1220 - Vienna | | Background | Methods of evaluating and valuating IP for the purpose of its commercialization, such as in relation to licensing royalty rates, will be presented. Experienced practitioners will address selected issues of Belgian, English, US and German law relevant for licensing and transfer of ownership of IP generated in international research, and will share best practices and experiences.
The purpose of the workshop is to bring together speakers from industry, universities, research organizations and technology transfer offices to present their extensive experience at the frontline of IP licensing, technology transfer, and dispute resolution.
The conference is organized by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center and the Licensing Executives Society (LES), and supported by the Simplified FP7 Model Consortium Agreement (DESCA) and the European IPR Helpdesk. The reception will be sponsored by DLA Piper Weiss-Tessbach Rechtsanwälte GmbH Vienna.

The workshop is tailored for lawyers, patent and trademark attorneys and representatives from industry, research institutes, universities and public organizations involved in research and development, licensing and other technology transfer activities. |
Conference Fee |
Regular registration EUR 120,-
Reduced fee for LES members EUR 80,-
The fee is to be paid after receipt of the invoice by bank transfer and is due until 21 May 2012.
Admission to the conference only with confirmation of payment.
If registered participants are unable to attend the conference for any reason they may substitute someone else from the same organisation by arrangement with the FFG. FFG cannot offer a refund of the registration fee.
